Interest Group

An Interest Group has been set up to define the development and direction of the CATCH knowledge platform. The Interest Group consists of representatives from local governments, NGO sector, business sector, and research arena in the fields of carbon and environmental management and transport.

There are two levels of the interest group: the Core Interest Group consists of four cities, chosen through a competitive Call for interest. The four Core Interest Group cities are distinct in terms of their geography, in terms of their levels of awareness with respect to carbon reduction strategies in transport and in their level of advancement in terms of climate strategies. The Core Interest Group cities in CATCH project are: Baia Mare (Romania), Lisbon (Portugal), London Borough of Hounslow (UK), and Odense (Denmark).

The general interest group consists of invited experts from the NGO sector, business sector, and research arena in the fields of carbon and environmental management and transport. Members of the Interest Group include a senior research officer from Imperial College London, Sustainable Development manager from Veolia Transport, Sustainable Transport Consultants and a representative from the European Commission (DG CLIMA).
